VOO Inflows Continue with $990M in AUM Gains
- VOO inflows continue even as major indexes retreat.
- Fixed-income ETFs have gained assets amid trade uncertainty.
The Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) pulled in $990 million on Tuesday, increasing its assets under management to just over $619 billion, according to data provided by FactSet. This inflow came as stocks retreated, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling nearly 400 points amid uncertainty over trade negotiations.
The iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) attracted $531 million as cryptocurrency interest persisted. The iShares MSCI USA Momentum Factor ETF (MTUM) added $486 million, while the iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLT) gained $462 million as traders positioned ahead of Wednesday's Federal Reserve policy decision.
On the outflow side, the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) saw redemptions of $1.1 billion. The iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM) experienced outflows of $637 million, and the iShares Semiconductor ETF (SOXX) lost $594 million as tech stocks retreated.
U.S. fixed income led asset classes with inflows of $1.7 billion as investors sought safety, while U.S. equity funds experienced outflows of $1.1 billion as all major indexes posted back-to-back declines. Overall, ETFs saw net inflows of $1.1 billion.
