Today EntrepreneurShares, a newcomer to the ETF space, is rolling out an ETF that evaluates companies according to entrepreneurial standards. The Entrepreneur 30 Fund (ENTR) tracks an index designed by EntrepreneurShares affiliate Capital Impact Advisors, which also serves as the fund’s advisor.

ENTR comes with an expense ratio of 0.49% and lists on the NYSE Arca.

The fund’s underlying index covers U.S.-listed securities with at least $1 billion in market capitalization. It requires companies to fulfill predetermined criteria in six areas: management, compensation, revenue, ownership, profitability and company statistics.

From there, the methodology ranks the firms that passed the screening process by market capitalization and selects the top 30 companies for inclusion in the index, according to the prospectus.

The document notes that the index is rebalanced and reconstituted on a quarterly basis.
