AdvisorShares has filed for an actively managed ETF that will target media and technology stocks. The AdvisorShares New Tech and Media ETF (FNG) will be subadvised by Sabretooth Advisors and is slated to list on the NYSE Arca.

The fund will invest in U.S.-listed companies mainly in the information technology software and services space, but also social media, internet retail and other technology companies.

Sabretooth will use a quantitative approach to select stocks, targeting those that have exhibited consistent market capitalization growth. The fund also will also rely on forward internal guidance and third-party research. Momentum will be used to determine allocations as well as additions to and deletions from the portfolio, while a technical overlay will be used to determine the timing of additions and deletions, according to the prospectus.

The filing did not include an expense ratio.
