VUSV Wins Best New U.S. Equity ETF Award
The ongoing AI boom drew significant attention and flows last year but Vanguard's affordability and reliability coupled with an active approach to large-cap value investing proved a favorite new fund for investors. The Vanguard Wellington U.S. Value Active ETF (VUSV) won the Best New U.S. Equity ETF Award.

The Vanguard Wellington U.S. Value Active ETF (VUSV) won Best New U.S. Equity ETF of the 2026 ETF.com Awards. The fund seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing in large- and mid-cap U.S. stocks. The focus on value proved particularly timely as investors looked to address growing mega-cap technology concentration in their portfolios.
What's notable about VUSV however is that it's a fundamental stock picking strategy that uses bottom-up fundamental analysis when selecting stocks. For one of the world's largest asset managers that built its name and reputation on indexed strategies, it's a tectonic shift.
VUSV carries over Wellington's strategy from the $24 billion Windsor Fund VWNDX, although the ETF provides different outcomes. Helmed by PM David Palmer who brings a deep well of investing experience to the table, the fund — and Vanguard — will be ones to watch.
