Welcome to a new era in ETF education. And by “new,” I mean really new for the ETF industry.

A common industry refrain at ETF conferences and industry events is there needs to be more ETF education, that there’s a void and no one seems to really offer a comprehensive educational program free of product pitching.

Well today we are happy to announce a partnership with The ETF Institute, led by industry veteran Nate Geraci, and the launch of our "Certified ETF Advisor” program.

ETF World Gets More Complex

For nearly 30 years, exchange-traded funds have disrupted and redefined the way investors access markets, and that pace of innovation has only gained momentum over time.

From the original broad passive portfolios to leveraged and inverse strategies to smart beta and options-heavy ETFs, the goal posts on ETF expertise are always moving.

ETF innovation is great, and it often leads to much better outcomes. But it poses a constant challenge to investors, advisors and industry participants: staying on top of it. That’s why ETF education is critical.

Here’s the good news: The ETF Institute—the first and only independent ETF education organization—will raise the bar for ETF education.

Certified ETF Advisor (CETF®)

Together, we’ve developed an extensive educational program that results in a certification called the Certified ETF Advisor (CETF®). Here’s how it works:

To obtain the CETF® designation, candidates must pass an exam demonstrating understanding in various ETF topics ranging from creation/redemption to leveraged products to best trading practices. The educational material is deep, and will continually be updated and expanded to keep up with the industry’s latest innovations. (Check out The ETF Institute website for all the information you need).

As an offering, we’re aiming high: Our goal is to have the CETF designation quickly become the industry standard. We’re confident that, together, we are delivering best-in-class ETF education that’s accessible to everyone.

Join us in this educational experience and let us know what you think. Photos of where you are hanging your certificate on the wall are also welcome and encouraged!
