Inside ETFs Kicks Off This Weekend

January 19, 2017

Inside ETFs is kicking off this Sunday. The world’s largest ETF conference, now in its 10th year, is expected to bring together more than 2,000 financial advisors, ETF issuers, index providers and industry experts over the course of four days.

On the docket this year is a comprehensive look at what is in store for the ETF market as well as the global economy—all much-anticipated insights in the face of so much political and economic uncertainty both here and abroad.

US Facing Big Political Change

This year’s event comes at a time when the U.S. is facing significant political change, interest rates are rising, and markets could see unexpected twists and turns across various key European elections throughout the year.

Specific to U.S. advisors and investors, the regulatory landscape and the upcoming Dept. of Labor fiduciary rule this spring promise to shake things up both from a business management and a portfolio management stance. 2017 promises to be a wild ride.

Among the luminaries speaking at the event is Bob Doll, the well-known macro thinker who will offer his 10 best investing ideas for 2017—one of this year’s highlights. Also offering their outlooks for markets and for the ETF industry, including what to do about equities, fixed income and smart beta, are PwC’s Nigel Brashaw, Bernstein Advisor’s well-known active manager Richard Bernstein and SSgA’s head of ETFs Jim Ross, to name a few.

A series coined “Advisor Accelerator” will offer insights into the changing face of the advisory business, with keynotes from Michael Kitces and Barry Ritholtz, among others. There will be talks on how to launch an ETF, how to better manage an advisory and how to invest tactically in a changing world.

The list goes on. You can see the full agenda for Inside ETFs, taking place Jan. 22-25 in Hollywood, Florida, here. We hope to see you there!
