Innovation & Access: Invesco on the Evolving ETF Landscape
- Invesco earned four ETF award nominations, including two in new categories.
- Invesco’s PDBC took home the crown for Commodity ETF of the Year.
At the 2025 etf.com Awards, John Feyerer, head of innovation & commercialization at Invesco, shared his thoughts on the expanding ETF industry and the evolution of the awards program, which now includes several new categories. “It’s great to see recognition expanding alongside the innovation in our industry,” said Feyerer, reflecting on how ETFs have evolved beyond traditional market-cap benchmarks. With Invesco funds nominated in four categories—two of which are new—Feyerer emphasized the importance of acknowledging strategies that meet the increasingly diverse needs of investors.
Feyerer highlighted the Invesco QQQ Income Advantage ETF (QQA), Invesco’s nominee for Best New U.S. Equity ETF, as a standout example of innovation in equity strategies. Designed to deliver consistent monthly income through a derivative income approach, QQA responds to a growing client demand for predictability. Also, the Invesco AI and Next Gen Software ETF (IGPT) was nominated for Thematic ETF of the Year, and the Invesco FTSE RAFI Emerging Markets ETF (PXH) was nominated for Emerging Markets ETF of the Year—a new category in 2025.
Looking ahead, he pointed to the rapid rise of active ETFs as one of the most significant trends shaping the industry, alongside growing investor access to areas like crypto and commodities. "The broadening ETF toolkit is making more strategies accessible than ever before," he noted, citing the Invesco Optimum Yield Diversified Commodity Strategy No K-1 ETF (PDBC) as a prime example of how the firm continues to pioneer new investment opportunities. The fund provides innovative exposure to a broad basket of commodities without issuing K-1 tax forms, making it a tax-efficient choice for investors seeking diversification in the commodities sector. PDBC won the Commodity ETF of the Year title, celebrating its achievements amongst investors.
Congratulations to Invesco on the well-deserved win and the multiple nominations for its innovative products.
