21.co has hired Goldman Sachs Group Inc. Alum David Josse as chief technology officer, and charged him with heading the firm’s engineering team as it adds cryptocurrency product offerings.

Josse will be based out of the company’s New York office, the company said in a statement Thursday.

21.co is also announcing the launch of a new crypto exchange-traded note by 21Shares, its crypto investment arm. The 21Shares Ethereum Core ETP (AETH) offers low-cost exposure to ethereum, and brings the total number of the firm’s offerings to 23. Josse’s addition comes shortly after the company’s $25 million fundraising round.

Most recently, Josse served as the chief technology officer of financial technology startup Symbridge, according to his LinkedIn profile. Previously, he served as the global head of data engineering and business intelligence at Goldman Sachs’ consumer arm, Marcus by Goldman Sachs.

21.co, launched in 2018, counts Cathie Wood, ARK Invest founder and CEO, among its board members.
