In this week’s episode of Exchange Traded Fridays, we break down the historic losing streak for the oldest stock market index and we talk about the bearish economic outlook of Nouriel Roubini, also known as "Dr. Doom."

The Dow Jones Industrial Average index of 30 stocks still stands tall as a hallmark of equity indexes, but it has long been overshadowed by more diverse indexes, including the S&P 500 and Russell 2000. Through Dec. 18, the Dow, represented by the SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF Trust (DIA), has declined nine consecutive days for the first time since 1978.

On Roubini, we look into his latest bearish forecast, including a call for secular stagflation, which happens to fall almost perfectly in line with the strategy of his brand-new exchange-traded fund, the Atlas America Fund (USAF)
