ETF categories across the board attracted inflows last week as both stocks and bond rallied, with a net $11.3 billion flowing into U.S.-listed exchange-traded funds during the week ending Friday, July 5.

Of that, $3.9 billion went into U.S. equity ETFs, while $3.4 billion went into U.S. fixed income ETFs.

International equity and fixed income ETFs also attracted around a billion dollars each last week.

Year-to-date inflows now stand at $406.1 billion, while total U.S.-listed ETF assets under management are $9.22 trillion.

Topping the flows charts last week was the $5.04 billion pulled into the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV), flollowed by the $3.77 billion that went into the Vanguard 500 Index Fund (VOO) and the Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ)'s $3.36 billion.

A fierce rally in megacap tech stocks propelled both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 to all-time highs last week.

Meanwhile, the iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLT) and the iShares iBoxx USD Investment Grade Corporate Bond ETF (LQD) also made an appearance on the top weekly inflows list.

Bonds jumped following the release of a mixed jobs report on Friday, which raised the likelihood of Fed rate cuts in the coming months.

On the other side of the ledger, mid-caps took a hit, with the iShares Russell Mid-Cap Growth ETF (IWP) tallying redemptions of $3.37 billion the iShares Russell Mid-Cap ETF (IWR) having $3.32 billion in outflows.

While the flows for these ETFs may have been impacted by tax-related heartbeat trades, in general, small and midcap stocks have been sharply underperforming their large cap counterparts this year.

The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) is up 17% so far this year versus less than 5% for IWR. SPY incidentally had $2.47 billion in outflows last week.
