Stocks were quiet this week, but that was enough to spur continued flows into ETFs. On net, $18.7 billion entered U.S.-listed ETFs during the week ending Thursday, June 18, according to the latest data from FactSet. That pushed year-to-date inflows up to $198.4 billion, ahead of the $122.1 billion seen at this same time last year.

The S&P 500 rebounded off the 3,000 level, helping to push $10.2 billion into U.S. equity ETFs this week. The iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV), the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) and the Schwab U.S. Dividend Equity ETF (SCHD) were the top asset gatherers during the period.

Meanwhile, renewed concerns about COVID-19 kept demand for U.S. fixed income ETFs high. That segment registered weekly inflows of $6.1 billion, led by the Vanguard Intermediate-Term Corporate Bond ETF (VCIT) and the iShares Intermediate-Term Corporate Bond ETF (IGIB).

Both ETFs rallied on Monday after the Federal Reserve said that it would expand its Secondary Market Corporate Credit Facility to include individual bonds.
