EASIAmplify EASI Tactical Growth ETF
EASI Fund Description
EASI tracks an index that tactically allocates assets to either 100% stocks or 100% fixed income ETFs depending according to equity price momentum. All securities are U.S.-listed and the fixed income portfolio invests in investment grade debt.
EASI Factset Analytics Insight
EASI tracks an index that follows an all-in or all-out investment ideology. At any point in time, the index invests entirely in U.S. equity or entirely in U.S. investment grade fixed income. Price momentum of the equity portfolio determines if the fund will invest in the equity or fixed income portfolios. This momentum signal measures the monthly price changes of the equity component and compares the change to the trailing 12 month average. If the moving average indicates an up-trend, the index invests exclusively in equities. If the signal indicates a down-trend, the index switches to fixed income. This process occurs monthly. The equity portfolio generally consists of 33-55 equally weighted U.S. companies, selected by fundamental and technical analysis. The fixed income portfolio invests in four exchange traded funds with pre-determined and static weights (35% in MINT, 35% in BSV, 15% in AGG, and 15% in BIV). EASI does not come cheap, but charges a comparable fee to other tactical asset allocation funds.
