FFEU Factset Analytics Insight
FFEU is a levered bet on the STOXX Europe 50 USD Index. The note’s effective leverage was 2x at inception, but the leverage factor is allowed to “float” between quarterly rebalances. The leverage factor may also reset (for a fee) when the fund’s value drops significantly between quarters. To find the current effective leverage, you’ll need to divide the effective index exposure by the closing IV. If all of this is confusing, this product is best avoided. As an ETN, FFEU does not hold any underlying assets. The note is backed only by the full faith and credit of the issuer, Barclays.
