PSCEInvesco S&P SmallCap Energy ETF
PSCE Fund Description
PSCE tracks a market-cap-weighted index of energy stocks selected from the S&P Small-Cap 600 Capped Energy Index.
PSCE Factset Analytics Insight
Investors looking for an exclusive small-cap play in the Energy sector will do well to pay attention to PSCE. The fund scores poorly in Fit specifically because it doesn't try to represent the whole energy market, but just the part inside the S&P Small-Cap 600 Index. As expected, industry tilts are heavy in PSCE. The fund overweights exploration, production, services and equipment companies, but ignores the mega-cap integrated oil & gas space, creating a volatile small-cap interpretation of the energy sector. Owning the fund is relatively cheap, but getting in and out could be tricky: PSCE's liquidity is lackluster, with less than a creation unit's worth of shares changing hands every day. With careful trading, however, PSCE is an interesting and viable alternative to traditional large-cap US energy ETFs for those looking for more risk.
