SHLD Factset Analytics Insight
This fund is liquidating. The last day of trading will be October 11, 2021. SHLD is passively managed to provide exposure to US companies that derive significant revenue from contracts with four major US Government agencies: Department of Defense, Department of Energy, Department of Homeland Security, and NASA. SHLD differs from others in the space to reach beyond traditional subindustries to include possibly technology, cybersecurity and healthcare stocks. The selection process uses artificial intelligence to rank companies based on actual and projected revenue from government contracts, defense-related patents or intellectual property(IP). The eligible universe contains the top 50 companies ranked by contract revenue and the top 200 companies that have significant IP contributions to the same government agencies. Stocks must be US-listed and meet minimum trading liquidity requirements. SHLD is reconstituted and rebalanced semi-annually, however the fund can become heavily concentrated at times.
