SPXZMorgan Creek - Exos SPAC Originated ETF
SPXZ Fund Description
SPXZ is actively-managed to invest in SPAC-derived IPOs that have completed or yet to complete a business combination.
SPXZ Factset Analytics Insight
SPXZ provides an actively-managed exposure to Special Purpose Acquisitions Corporations (SPACs) that targets roughly 33% in pre-combination and 66% in post-combination SPACs, weighted equally within their groups. SPACs are companies with no commercial operations other than to raise capital for the purpose of acquiring others. Pre-combination SPACS are SPAC-derived IPOs still seeking for mergers and have liquidation risk if they fail to combine in a two-year period while post-combination are SPAC-derived IPOs that have successfully merged in the last three years. The portfolio selection will mainly include the 50 largest publicly-traded US-listed SPACs. Due to monthly rebalancing, SPXZ may have a high portfolio turnover rate, which potentially leads to higher trading costs and capital gains distributions.
SPXZ MSCI FaCS and Factor Box
MSCI FaCS is a standard method for evaluating and reporting the Factor characteristics of equity portfolios including ETFs. The Factor Box includes 6 Factors that MSCI has identified that historically provided a return premium. On the vertical axis, the Factor Groups, are displayed and the horizontal axis displays the Factor exposure, overweight, underweight or neutral.
