WisdomTree has filed for an ETF that looks to provide exposure to U.S.- or European-listed companies involved in business activities related to modern platforms or digital marketplaces. The WisdomTree Modern Tech Platforms Fund will track an equal-weighted index.

According to the prospectus, companies are selected based on their business model; the customer or participant relationship; and their revenue source. Platforms of eligible companies can fall under various types, including the payment, social networking, social gaming, communication, content and development categories.

Eligible companies must have a minimum float-adjusted market capitalization of $2 billion, and they must meet additional liquidity thresholds, the document says.

The filing did not include a ticker, expense ratio or listing exchange.
