Buffer ETF Interest Rises as Bonds Struggle
Buffer ETFs offer potential as bonds slip, volatility looms
Though many investors might be interested in riding the potential upside gains in equities and equity ETFs that could come with Fed rate cuts in the Fall, Innovator ETFs VP of Marketing Joe Becker says that there is still room for buffer ETFs in investor portfolios.
"We have an election, we have Fed—what's the Fed going to do? What's inflation going to do? The uncertainty there is very real," he explained.
"Risks abound. So we think that especially with retirees... there is a strong case for risk management for the end of the year and beyond," he said.
Speaking at CBOE headquarters in Chicago for this first episode of Fireside Chats with etf.com Editor in Chief Kristin Myers, Becker explains the buy case for buffer ETFs amid high fees and saturation in the defined outcome market.
