U.S. stocks registered their largest single-session decline in three months on Thursday, but that didn't have much of an impact on flows for the week. According to the latest data from FactSet, on net, investors added $19.2 billion to U.S.-listed ETFs during the week ending Thursday, June 11. That pushed year-to-date inflows up to $179.4 billion, ahead of the $93.4 billion seen at this same time last year.

The S&P 500 plunged 5.9% on Thursday, its largest decline since an 11% swoon on March 16. Even so, about $11.4 billion flowed into U.S. equity ETFs during the week, led by the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) and the Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ).

The inflows for U.S. equity ETFs outpaced those for other segments, but they too gathered fresh assets. International equity ETFs had weekly inflows of $3.7 billion, paced by the JPMorgan BetaBuilders Europe ETF (BBEU).

At the same time, U.S. fixed income ETFs pulled in $2.5 billion of cash. The iShares iBoxx USD High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (HYG) saw inflows of more than $1 billion, even as prices for the junk bond ETF sagged. Year-to-date inflows for the fund total an impressive $9.6 billion.
