SPY Leads ETF Outflows With $3.3B Exit
The Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bull 3x Shares (SOXL) has $536 million in outflows: Here are the daily ETF fund flows for Feb. 4, 2025.
The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) experienced $3.3 billion in outflows Monday, bringing its total assets under management to $624.3 billion, according to etf.com daily fund flows data. The fund saw $2.8 billion in redemptions Friday, helping to bring its total assets under management to $634.3 billion.
Meanwhile, the Vanguard S&P 500 ET (VOO) attracted $412 million in new assets, adding to the $895 million gain from Friday, pushing its AUM to $621.9 million, leaving just a 2.4 billion gap between the two funds.
The Vanguard Short-Term Corporate Bond ETF (VCSH) pulled in $368.6 million, while the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) added $363.8 million to its assets.
On the outflows side, the Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) saw $1.6 billion exit the fund, while the iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLT) experienced outflows of $658.8 million. The Invesco MSCI Global Climate 500 ETF (KLMT) saw redemptions of $524.7 million.
U.S. equity funds led asset class outflows with $9.4 billion in redemptions, while leveraged funds saw over $1 billion exit. International fixed-income funds attracted nearly $774.6 million in new assets as the overall ETF industry recorded net outflows of $9.4 billion for the day.
